We admit it. We're obsessed.  

The bounty of seasonal, unique, and delicious ingredients found in the San Francisco Bay Area is astounding. 

We source our organic eggs, butter, milk, and cheese from local dairies.  

We use the best organic almonds, pistachios, fruits, and honey from local producers.

We blend our passion for the best ingredients with traditional recipes to create amazing baked goods -- perfect for every day or that special day.  Come taste for yourself!

What was she thinking?

What's in a name?

Petite Rouge was named after a beloved car, a little red Fiat (you saw that coming, right?) that used to schlep back and forth from East Bay to Palo Alto.  The long commute was fertile day-dreaming time and the concept of "Petite Rouge" emerged during all those long mornings and nights in the car.  So, really we have the gridlock on I-880-north to thank for Petite Rouge Bakery.  Probably the first time that's happened.

Our Team

Lisa

Lead baker and chief dreamer-up-of-crazy-business-concepts, Lisa is a pathologist by training who traded her job in biotech to knead dough, sift flour, and bake cakes. We often question her sanity. But she makes great desserts, so what can you do?

Chad

Chad is the "Chief Testing Officer" for Petite Rouge, putting up with piles of random baking tools and cookbooks on every horizontal surface. In exchange, he does have to test all the recipes before they are given the green light.  It's a tough job but someone has to do it.

KONA + JORDAN

Unofficial team members (darn health regulations!) Jordan and Kona provide much needed doggy moral support (midnight cuddles after a recipe fails), as well as tight security during baking sessions (no squirrels in our yard!). They are also responsible for testing potential doggie treats for our menu.  Well..."testing" is a strong word.



Where is our kitchen?

We bake with love out of our home in sunny Concord, CA!
